after much deliberation, and going on six months without an update... leah and i have decided to freeze this archive, and admit that there will be no more updates. also, the corellary to this: there will not be an advent calendar this year, though we're sorry to say it. our fanfiction output has dwindled to nothing these days, and it's looking like this just isn't something we can sustain any longer.

drawing a not unexpected conclusion is sometimes still painful.

that being said... we won't take the archive down. we both believe that the stories are important. we had a blast writing them; yes, even the ones from 1999 that make us cringe a little when we reread them now! we love these characters no less than we did when we first met them, and we still enjoy being fans. it has been, and continues to be, a pleasure to host a tiny slice of internet fanfiction history. sometimes i'm surprised at how long it's been, and just how much we've written... and then i read some of our earlier work and i really see the learning curve.

i'm grateful for all the friends that we've met, all the worlds that we've shared. and we'll still be around! (who knows, maybe some day out of the blue i'll find myself writing something fun, and posting it here.) my email remains llamajoy at bishink dot org, if you ever wanted to drop me a line.
