(Oh, and Congratulations Evan. You're a Bond Boy.) That Fatal Kiss
First crystal tears- fall of snowflakes on your body-
required opening sequence... Seiji, in a typically outrageously expensive black tux, walks slowly across the screen, trailed by the black-circle gun barrel to the strains of the 007 theme. He whirls suddenly and shoots, the circle wavers and the screen paints red, turning to flames and the letters of the title. Follow with an opening song and sequences of fire silhouetted nude bishonen dancing behind the titles, the last one blowing flaming kisses across the screen and melting into a bird that streaks into the black fade at the end of the credits. The latticed ceiling fan made a slow spiral of forgotten cigarette smoke in the cool, climate controlled air, so much more comfortable than the oppressive, humid weight outside in the dirty streets. The expensive red paper wrapped gold foil confection was embossed with a pattern of gold feathers, hand painted, a pack of them was probably worth more than the hotel suite for the night. The cigarette had been abandoned in the cut glass tray, however. There were other, rarer, more fiery indulgences to be had. "You don’t talk much, do you?" It didn’t answer, its perfect mouth moving in slow hot careful trails over his abdomen. Quiet, but expensive. Damn expensive at that, and so far worth every real he’d paid. Besides, quiet whores were useful in his line of work, so what if this one cost more? Not that it was the silence that raised the price on this one. And as if it was his money, anyway! This one might even be worth opening his personal bank account, however. He eyed it appraisingly, the narrow hands tight on his thighs and the lowered jet lashes. "Stand up. I want to look at you." It hesitated, no doubt trying to work the unexpected command into its meager brainpower. Slowly it rose, a ripple of caramel musculature and sable silk hair, the remarkable eyes lifting to his chin. Properly subservient, that. "Are you for sale, boy?" It shook its head. He took a long lazy swallow of brandy, eyeing the creature. "Everything is for sale to ME, boy. Remember that." A nod. "Now." His teeth gleamed in anticipation. "Come here and show me what I paid for." It stepped forward with a small smile, eager to please. "And it better be as extraordinary as I was promised." It was. In fact, he was screaming before it was over with. Luckily the walls of the hotel were soundproofed and there would be someone to pick up the body later. That wasn’t HIS job. He shook out his clothing with a disdainful sneer at the contorted features of his erstwhile tenant. Disgusting. Sometimes, he didn’t mind so much what he had to do. He pocketed the silver cigarette case and turned as a small vidscreen unfolded itself from the paneling. The picture was sharp and clear despite the signal that came from across the globe, the emerald eyes and sleek ponytailed blood-red hair as painfully beautiful and cold as they were in person. "Very well done, phoenix. Very well done indeed. Jackal will see to the rest of the details... we all know how he ~loves~ his work. Return home. Now." "Hai." He inclined his head, his face a perfect mask devoid of emotion. The screen vanished silently back into its hidden compartment. The cigarette ember died. Ching! The champagne glasses came together with a bright, anticipatory chime, glittering like the lights on the Thames outside the top-story window. "Really, Seiji, I thought you were NEVER going to invite me over!" He folded his arms on the white silk pillow and smiled delightedly. "Well, since we’ve been friends for such a long time…" A bold fingertip with shimmering nailpolish found its way into the undone front of the white kimono. "Since this afternoon!" His laugh was low and hopeful, eyes hungrily following the motions of Seiji’s throat as he swallowed some of the golden liquid. "Nearly a century, depending on your point of view." "Ummm…" his hips shifted slightly, dark blue eyes wantonly roaming over the expanse of perfect alabaster thigh displayed through the folds of the oriental robe. "Feels like a century." Seiji fought the small triumphant smile. All too easy. Every one of them, falling in his path like snowflakes to melt before morning. And this one- Frosted pink lips parted and begging for kisses, soft lavender hair needing nothing so much as to be rumpled from sex. He leaned in for the first hot touch of mouth to willing mouth- beepeep! Violet eyes flicked sideways in irritation. Not NOW. He ignored it, distracted by the eager warmth emanating off of- what was his name again? beepeep! Damn. "Seiji, what IS that noise?" "Duty calls, m’dear. I’m afraid we’ll have to make it for another time." He rose fluidly from the floor, brushing at his immaculate kimono. "But-" "Now now, don’t pout, there’s a dear. I hope you’ll excuse my not showing you to the door..." "Oh I DO hope I’m not interrupting anything," His secretary demurred from the vidphone on the desk, his smile insufferably smug as he surveyed the champagne dripping off Seiji’s face. "Nothing at all, Mouripenni," Seiji returned smoothly, mopping up the front of his robe. "What’s the trouble?" "Urgent business I’m afraid, Seiji. You’re to return to headquarters immediately." "Well, I’m all done here, I’ll get a flight back to Tokyo tonight." "I’ve already arranged one for you," Mouripenni flashed a glance at his note-pad, although Seiji was sure his secretary had every detail logged in his auburn head. "You’re to leave London in two hours. Someone will meet you with a car downstairs in twenty minutes." Seiji gave his secretary a wry smile. "Ah, Mouripenni, what would I do without you?" Green eyes flashed with mild irritation, he tossed his head with a prim sniff. "Anything that walks up to you in a club I believe, 005." With that, he hung up. Seiji Date chuckled at the usual barb and sat back to polish off his glass of champagne. tbc... by Tenshi no Korin
